Floods in Rawajati Has Started to Recede

RT 03 and 04/RW 07 are currently still inundated as high as 25 centimeters

Floodwaters that had inundated RW 01, 03, 06 and 07 in Rawajati Urban Village, Pancoran, South Jakarta since Tuesday (2/9) morning began to recede.

Rawajati Urban Village Head Rudi Budijanto said, in the afternoon, floods as high as 25 centimeters still inundated RT 03 and 04/RW 07 areas, which were located right on the Ciliwung Riverbank. Initially, the area was inundated as high as 1.5 to 2 meters.

Floods in Pejaten Timur Have Begun to Recede

"RT 03 an 04/RW 07 are currently still inundated as high as 25 centimeters," he expressed.

In RW 01, 03 and 06, he added, floods had receded completely since 10 AM. Thus far local residents assisted by 10 PPSU members were seen cleaning up the mud and waste in their neighborhood.

"It is done to smoothen water flow in the drains," he exclaimed.
